…or days have gone by. Well, our V Drive is back from The Walter Machine Company so that will help move things along. We sent the drive out for rebuild and they got it back to us fairly quick. The insulation and interior walls of the ice box are progressing, albeit slowly. The thru hulls are coming along nicely, some closed in permenantly, others repositioned. The cockpit lockers have been painted, they’ll stay clean for all of five minutes but they’re painted. Now we are working on the pedestal in the cockpit…among other things.
V Drive arrived. UPS did a near perfect job of destroying a very expensive piece of equipment. …moving right along…
Thankfully the drive is still in one piece:
Insulation finished, waiting to add the finished walls to the ice box:
Preparing to cut out the interior ice box panels. We are using fiberglass reinforced plastic panels from Lowe’s:
Once the panels are trimmed to fit we will use West System epoxy to glue them in place:
Tanya installing our new thru hull:
Two thru hulls filled in, one installed. Once the sealant dries we will remove the protective film:
Cockpit lockers painted white:
The generator and water heater will go in this locker:
Removing the pedestal guard:
More later!
