More “stuff” happening. As I stated yesterday our fuel tank is on the way, and it actually arrived! Tanya has been finishing the electric/electronics panel and I have been inspecting the chain plates.
Old Dominion Freight Line handed the tank to Portland Air Freight. Great communication from FMT, OD, and PAF. Lots of phone calls and the driver showed up on time:

New tank, old tank:
If you own a Pearson 424 and need a new fuel tank, use the model number from our tank and save yourself some time. Our tank is 82 gallons and has a second pick up and return (for the generator). I measured the tank and it’s absolutely perfect!
We are inspecting the chain plates, some were good, others not so good:
We clean them up, spray them with red die, clean them again, then spray developer on them to identify any cracks. We found several with hair line cracks:
Tanya has been hard at work on the electric/electronics panel. The panel is stained, varnished, now she is drilling the holes to mount the panels and electronics:
We are really happy with http://floridamarinetanks.com/ for their great service!!! We contacted FMT almost a month ago and ordered our fuel tank. We went back and forth several times with drawings and additional requirements, they made all the changes we wanted, they were great! We were told the tank would take a minimum of four weeks…three weeks later we received our new tank!
Stay tuned!
