We had a nice time in Port Clyde. While there we saw a bald eagle chasing an osprey, the osprey was clutching a small fish, it was quite a dog fight.
Best I could do with a tiny auto focus camera:
The Schooner Heritage anchored just behind us:
After leaving Port Clyde we headed out into the Gulf of Maine for a sail! Wow what a day, we sailed for HOURS with no engine!!! Winds 12 to 17 knots, all the sails up, we hit 7.5 knots, awesome sailing!
Then we did a 180 and headed to Tenants Harbor. We had a great sail right up to the mouth of the harbor:
We ate dinner at a place called Cod End right next to the town dock:
The food was so fresh, and delicious. Fish, clams, shrimp, fries and beer:
We are anchored in Long Cove and it’s a beautiful night!!
Wow!! So far your trip seems perfect! I was just driving around near Port Clyde yesterday! My view wasn’t nearly like yours.
Not gonna lie, now I want clams!! Glad to see the signature Miller Light too. : )
Hope your trip continues as well as it has begun.

Yes, the clams were delicious! We’re probably heading out again Wednesday or Thursday in search of more great seafood!
Oh man, I might have to get over my worry about sailing. To see all this scenery from the watr, it’s certainly what Maine is all about. SO glad you’re having such a great week!! You certainly deserve it after all the hard work…
It is very scenic here! Loving seeing all the new sites.
