Update

I have been jumping around a bit on the blog so I will try to catch up today. About a week ago we were at Tahiti Beach with Dirk and Nancy on Renegade. From Tahiti Beach we headed south to Tilloo Cay and anchored just north of Tilloo Bank. From Tilloo Cay we took the dinghies across to Snake Cay and toured the back country. We toured the winding river behind the cays and even though it was a cloudy day we still had a great time. We saw an eagle ray that was about 5 or 6 feet across, turtles, giant starfish, smaller rays, and some beautiful scenery.

There is a huge weather front on the way. The front will sit over us and churn for days with high winds so we had to decide where to go from here. With different interests we decided to head separate ways, which is a bummer. We have friends flying into Eleuthera in a few weeks so we decided to head south. Dirk and Nancy headed back to Hope Town which is a well protected harbor. The one downside to cruising is meeting really cool people only to have to say goodbye. I’m sure we’ll meet up again.

The water is so clear. That is the rudder and the bottom is about 12 feet down:

Anchor buried in the sand about 12 feet down:

Beautiful sail (engine off!) from Tilloo to Lynyard Cay:

Always happy when we’re sailing:

Touring behind the cays:

Beautiful starfish:

We always make sure they go back the water quickly and stay on the bottom.

Next day we headed in different directions. Renegade heading back to Hope Town:

Thanks Dirk and Nancy for everything!
