We went for a long hike yesterday. We walked north along the Queen’s Highway, took a right at utility pole 108 and hiked across the island to the eastern shore, it was a great workout.
We took the dinghy to this protected basin in the northeast corner of the bay:
The view looking east from the top of the hill:
Down to the beach:
The beach is very remote:
Beautiful but lots of plastic trash:
The winds are up so we didn’t swim, but we did find four sea beans while combing the beach. Then hiked back to the highway and down to the dinghy:
Back out to the anchorage:
We are going to start our journey north. There is a regatta from Great Exuma to Thompson Bay that is going to take place any day now so we are going to get out of here before they arrive. Word has it there are 90 boats participating… We will update when we can.
Keep us posted as you move along to your next destination. Had a great time at Ben’s party and talked about how lucky you guys are to be out of all this snow. Love you guys.
