We have had a great time while Tanya’s father Bob was here! The week flew by so fast!
We did many things while Bob was here, ate out quite a bit, visited Puerto Plata, went to the waterfall, toured Luperon, and before leaving yesterday we rode the cable car to the top of Mt. Isabel. The week was a blur so I will let the pictures tell the story…

We had a nice breakfast at Puerto Blanco Marina one morning:
In addition to good food they also have free wifi:
We walked over to the beach one day. From the harbor to the beach you walk past a large hotel complex that closed several years ago:
It is (or was) holy week, everyone goes to the beach and celebrates. We sat down, ate and had a couple of Presidentes:
Then walked the beach. On the other side of the jetty is the hotel beach:

It’s hot so we had to have ice cream:
And of course one or two nights at Wendy’s Bar. Me and Ivan:
Saturday night there was a huge celebration in the town square, sea of people, live music. It was fun but we stayed out way too late:
We took Bob back to the airport yesterday:
Stopped along the way to ride the cable car up Mt Isabel De Torres:

On the way back to Luperon we stopped at La Sirena, similar to Super Walmart, to do some shopping. Unfortunately we spotted a Domino’s Pizza in the food court and we were starving. Demolishing an excellent pizza:
That’s it for now. We are still here waiting on a weather window to head east!
wonderful pictures…still reeling from the cable car ones…you both look great….
Awesome pictures. Beautiful sites. Glad you all had fun together. Does cable car remind you of “Where Eagles Dare”? Oh yea. Yikes! As always, thanks for staying in touch via pictures. Love, Sis
