We grew up in a (very) small town in Maine, right on the coast, where we both spent time on the water as children. Even though we moved away, we’ve always felt that we would spend time near the water again.
Dave spent the majority of his adult life as a U.S. Marine and traveled the world. After retiring in 2007, he became a government contractor working in acquisitions, aviation and electronic warfare. Dave left work in December 2010 to begin preparations for our journey.
Tanya left Maine for Washington DC, and is now a human resources manager at a law firm…until April 2011.
We are leaving this fast-paced, hectic but routine existence to live out our dream on Dea Latis.
