While here we had a couple of days of marginal weather so we had to stay close to the boat. There is a monument on Stocking Island, atop a hill just east of us, so we decided to hike up and see what we could see. I can’t find the purpose of the monument and there is no plaque but it was a nice hike.
Concrete monument on top of the hill:
Up this trail:
Then a little rope climb:
Then up just a bit more:

Looking northwest:
Then we hiked over to the beach on the east side of the island:
Then back to the boat for happy hour. Rum punch, Kalik light, and smoked fish dip!
We have had a great visit with Tanya’s Aunt and Uncle:
These are much better in the “open” position:
We all jumped in the dinghy and headed over to Chat n Chill on Stocking Island:
Howard and I trying to get something from the bar. Actually the service and food was quite good:
Shoe repair?
Beach signs:
Dinghy tie up on the beach:
Another fun day:
Beautiful beach in front of Chat N Chill:
Feeding the stingrays:
Then we headed down to Little Exuma and spent the day at the Tropic of Cancer Beach:
It was very crowded:
Tanya’s Aunt and Uncle left today, sad to see them go. We are staying here a few more days then we will start to head north again.
