Shelter

In order to keep on schedule and get back in the water on time, we need to work on the boat rain or shine so we built a shelter. Once we figured out the dimensions Bob ordered the wood from Hancock lumber, they delivered it next day. We built the roof trusses first then started the side framing. The further along we progressed the gloomier the weather became.

Roof trusses built and moved down to the boat:

Delivery Continued

Once the boat was in place we set up the stands that she will rest on for the summer. We can not thank everyone enough for all the help! THANK YOU!

Once there are two stands under the stern and one under the bow, he drives the truck out from under the boat. Then we position the rest of the stands under the boat.

In Place for the summer. We built a cover for inclement weather, I’ll post some pictures of that later.

Haul Out

We hauled the boat on the 22nd and have been pretty busy ever since. The entire evolution went well and CWC, the boat haulers, could not have been more professional! This was the first time we were hauled out by trailer so we took lots of pictures, I’ll post a few each day.

Dockside awaiting preparation. We had to remove the sails, booms, davits, solar panels, everything above deck:

Bimini off, dodger windows removed:

Main boom off…

Everything removed, waiting at the dock:

Moving into position:

Late for work, more later!
