Harbor Cam

Here is a link to the harbor cam at our marina, Herrington Harbour North. Although you can’t really see us we are there in the harbor office cam, left side of the flag pole about seven boats out, obscured by the big power boat. You can just see a glimpse of our blue hull just above the bow of the power boat…

Out…

Tanya and I took a much needed break and went out last night, we had a blast! There is a nice place within walking/stumbling distance, Calypso Bay http://www.johnluskey.com/calypso/ . They have great food and last night there was a live band that plays “our” music.

The band Face Down, lead guitar was pretty intense:

Wow, we had a great time!

…off to install the electronics now…we’ll see how that goes…

Dodger!

Dan from Canvas Creations has started the installation of our hard dodger. The dodger is really nice, six inches taller than the previous, fiberglass top and thick walled stainless steel frame. Tanya can almost stand up underneath it and I am no longer bashing my head!

Frame and top, windows go on tomorrow:

Bimini frame is up, top goes on this coming week:

 More to follow!

Slowly

Slowly but surely we are making headway against the mountain of belongings that need to find a place to stay. Having just moved aboard full time we are struggling to find the proper place for each category of “thing” without forgetting where we put it.  We have finished the head and galley and now we’re working on our berth. Each little victory is a huge deal for us!

Galley:

We had to relocate this track further up the mizzen mast in order to raise the boom to accommodate the new bimini. Of course I had to drill out most of the screws:

We had to replace a couple of stanchion bases:

One more:

End of the day!

Random

Just some random shots from our move to Florida…

Arrived. Yard was pretty rough:

 Truck was full!

Nice lot across the street:

Once we unpacked, the water pump that provides pressure to the house decided to stop working. I replaced the pressure switch and reinstalled the pump but that didn’t fix it. We ended up replacing the pump.

Tiki torches proved futile against the onslaught of mosquitoes:

Added solar lights around the back yard:

Front room:
